my measurements u/shanakitty. My new size is 36DD. The band size makes my back hurt a bit but idk if a bra can fix that before i lose weight. I have short roots, soft tissue, and I'm functionally full on bottom. This is a local brand balconette. Idk why I still feel like it looks weird on me, even though it does technically fit. I also wore a 34C before measuring as 30E (I'm down a cup size now due to weight loss, but same band). I didn't believe it at first and spent a bunch of time wearing too-loose 32DDs until I finally picked up a 30E. Perfect fit! Still needed to work on finding the right shape, but volume and band tightness were 👌. ABTF calculator was pretty dang accurate. I've been ordering and returning lots of bras, and the 32DD definitely fits or is occasionally too small. I was shocked! Like you, my boobs seem smaller than my calculator size, possibly because I'm full on the bottom as well, but they definitely fill out the 32DDs.
