It was fun today being able to expeirment, but I just have a really hard time resisting using it sometimes. Spell slots I find are rather brutal. But I had my charectar/gear set to where I got two free any level slots per rest period, along with freecast which I thought would give me 4 free spells a day outside of arcane recovery.Freecast: Nerfed from its bugged state that gave you infinite spell slots. Now working as intended it's merely decent. Not the world-shattering power it once was, but still useful on things like a Storm Sorc/Tempest Cleric to get 2/long rest huge chain lightning damage.
